Eat at the Teatro at Towers Rotana.
One of the places everyone said we had to eat was the Teatro at Towers Rotana. It is consistently rated as one of the best restaurants in Dubai and it certainly did not disappoint!
The food is similar from East to West so expect to find things like wasabi tempura prawns and miso-glazed sea bass on the menu.
We had the sushi platter and it was delicious. Very authentic with their own sushi master and it was also incredibly beautiful.
If you are looking for a wonderful place to have dinner in Dubai I would really recommend Teatro.
Explore Dubai Creek on an Abra boat.
Here’s a little money saving tip for you. Abra’s boats are the cheapest way to get around Dubai with a one-way ticket costing just 20p.
Not only are they a cheap way to get around, but they’re also great for seeing the city from the water. Plus, it’s such a traditional mode of transportation that it feels very nostalgic.
The best place to get Abra is near the Old Quarter and on Dubai Creek. Boats run very regularly every 10 minutes and some leave before they are full. It’s a really good way to see Dubai!
Go to Skyline from Albandar Rotana.
I’ll just put my hand up and say I’m a victim of a good skyline. Well, in Dubai they have the best in the world.
I could spend all day walking around Dubai looking for the best photo spots, but one of my favorites is at the top of the Albandar Rotana.
On the 18th floor you can have a cocktail from Gusto Restaurant, sit on the terrace and watch the sunset. Or, if you’re like me, you can take photos of the sunset! Still, it really is one of the best views in Dubai.

Fujairah
If you are wondering where to go in the UAE, let me introduce you to Fujairah. Sometimes the place feels like a million miles away from other emirates.
Not only do you get beautiful beaches here, but you also get the Hajar Mountains in the background which gives it an otherworldly feel. It wasn’t quite the lunar landscape of Chile’s Atacama Desert, but it wasn’t far off!
If you are looking for a place to really kick back and relax, there are a number of 5* resorts.
