CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
The CEO shall report to the Board of Directors of LESCO and shall strive to achieve the commitments and goals set by the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) and the Board of Directors of LESCO to transform the Company into a dynamic corporate entity. The CEO shall lead and work closely to achieve objectives of the Company in line with its vision & mission.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Major requirements and expectations from the CEO shall include but not limited to the following:
- Industry Expertise with deep understanding of the power distribution industry of Pakistan including knowledge of best international practices, market dynamics, technological advancements, and emerging operational challenges.
Strategic Vision with strong ability to articulate a clear and compelling vision for the Company’s future by outlining strategic plans and initiatives to achieve the objectives & performance targets entrusted by the BOD and regulators.
Leadership & Management Skills to demonstrate strong leadership qualities and the ability to effectively manage the Company’s operations, resources, and human capital. This includes making informed decisions, fostering a positive corporate culture and achieving organizational objectives.
Business Acumen having a solid grasp of business management, including budgeting, forecasting, planning, cost control, and capital allocation. Should be able to drive financial performance, operational excellence, speedy and efficient procurements, manage risks and ensure the Company’s financial stability.
Stakeholder Management by possessing excellent communication and relationship- building skills to effectively engage with stakeholders, including government authorities, regulators, customers, employees and community members.
Regulatory Compliance ensuring that the company operates in compliance with applicable laws, NEPRA regulations, industry standards and effectively lead LESCO’s initiatives w.r.t. CTBCM. Be well aware of regulatory changes, maintain a strong ethical framework through promoting corporate governance and transparency.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE Required For LESCO Jobs 2023
The candidate must possess:
a. Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Master degree will be given additional weightage) OR
b. Master degree in Business Administration / Public Administration / Management/ Economics/Finance OR
c. Member of a recognized body of Professional Accountants
The incumbent should have a proven track record with minimum 20 years of experience with 10 years of working in power sector and at least 03 years at Senior Management Position i.e. working in public sector or public sector company in BPS-20 or equivalent whether on substantive basis or on additional charge or current charge or look after basis or upgraded shall qualify as Senior Management.

(d) Experience and good understanding of legal, policy and regulatory framework of Power Sector of Pakistan.
The candidate must comply with Fit & Proper Criteria and other conditionalities as prescribed in the Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules, 2013 and the Public Sector Companies (Appointment of Chief Executive) Guidelines, 2015.
(c) Having capability and experience to improve back and front office business process through automation.
(d) Experience and good understanding of legal, policy and regulatory framework of Power Sector of Pakistan.

REMUNERATION, AGE & CONTRACT PERIOD
Salary & Allowances will be market based

The initial contract shall be for a period of three (03) years, with annual performance evaluation to be conducted by Board of Directors LESCO against given Key Performance Indicators and Performance Agreement with MOE.
