Mughal Road in kashmir valley has been closed due to fresh snowfall:Poonch: The Mughal Road connecting Kashmir Valley’s Shopian district with the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu division was closed due to fresh snowfall on Saturday, officials said.

He said that there has been fresh snowfall at many places along the road including Peer Street, due to which the roads have been blocked.

Earlier this year, the road, which was supposed to be an alternative to the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, was closed due to snowfall on several occasions, especially in Peer Gali and its adjoining areas.

SRINAGAR: The Mughal Road connecting Kashmir valley’s Shopian district with the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch was closed due to fresh snowfall on Saturday, officials said.

DYSPPC Surankot Hamid Ali Bande said that roads were blocked at several places along the road including ‘Peer Ki Gali’ due to fresh snowfall.

Earlier this year, the road, considered as an alternative to the Jammu-Srinagar highway, was closed due to snowfall on several occasions, especially in ‘Peer Ki Gali’ and its adjoining areas. (GNS)
