Description
Banco Santander continues to work on study and training scholarships to give all students the same development opportunities. For this reason, it has convened the Santander Erasmus Scholarships which, together with a large number of Spanish universities, facilitate the mobility of students and allow them to learn about and receive training in other countries of the European Union.
The Santander Erasmus Scholarships are aimed at all those students enrolled in Spanish Universities that collaborate with the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities and that have an agreement with Santander Universities.
The Santander Erasmus Scholarships offer selected students the opportunity to enjoy a period of stay abroad, during which they can continue with the normal development of their university studies.
In this way, while completing their academic training, students have the opportunity to live and enjoy endless personal experiences abroad, getting to know new university environments, as well as fellow students from different countries.

Requirements
University students who are beneficiaries of an “Erasmus +” grant who are going to carry out an Erasmus stay in the 2023/2024 academic year and who meet the aforementioned criteria may be beneficiaries of this Program.
In the event that the beneficiary of the scholarship does not finally carry out his Erasmus stay in a physical way, he will have to return the Program money to his own University, and this will be in charge of awarding this Scholarship to the next beneficiary, if this is possible, or according to the criteria previously exposed.
Endowment
In this 2023/2024 call, Santander will sponsor the participating universities, divided into 125 scholarships of 1,000 euros and 1,750 scholarships of 500 euros, in accordance with the provisions below.
With the patronage of Santander, the participating Universities will grant as a whole:
a. 125 scholarships worth 1,000 euros each. These scholarships will be allocated to the 125 students who are beneficiaries of an “Erasmus+” grant for studies or internships and who are selected by the participating universities, according to the following criteria:
Yo. Best academic record.
ii. Or a situation of disability equal to or greater than 33% and better academic record.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Universities may prioritize, if they consider it necessary, the allocation of scholarships to students who have either been beneficiaries of a socioeconomic scholarship from the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training in the year of the scholarship application. Santander Erasmus, or have a proven disability equal to or greater than 33%, or are students with specific educational support needs, or duly certified special educational needs.
In the event that the University does not identify the candidate(s) in accordance with the provisions of the previous paragraph, the University will notify Santander immediately so that the latter can assign the two scholarships under identical conditions to another University according to the criteria that Santander establishes for this purpose.
b. 1750 scholarships amounting to 500 euros each. These scholarships will be allocated to the 1750 students who are beneficiaries of an “Erasmus +” aid for studies or internships with the best weighted academic records in accordance with the provisions of these bases and will be distributed proportionally to the Universities associated with Crue Universidades Españolas to the number of “Erasmus +” scholarships awarded by each University in the previous academic year.
