Description
The Ayto Tías Social Emergency Study Aid Scholarships are convened with the purpose of helping students who present barriers for different reasons, for the correct completion of their studies in the following modalities: university students with face-to-face studies or not, inside and outside Lanzarote and official studies of medium and higher grade training cycles that cannot be completed on the island.
To apply for the Ayto Tías Ayto Tías Social Emergency Study Aid Scholarships, you must be registered in the municipality of Tias for at least 24 months before applying for the aid. In addition, other requirements will be taken into account, such as the income thresholds indicated in this call.
When selecting the beneficiaries, criteria of the request situation of the applicant and family member will be taken into account, as well as the academic excellence that he presents. Only one grant will be awarded per applicant.
The amounts to be received will vary depending on the modality: university studies outside the island, university studies on the island or training cycles outside the island and distance university studies. The amounts will range from 400 to 1000 euros.

Requirements
The beneficiaries of these grants must meet the following requirements to obtain this educational grant:
Be a Spanish citizen or one of the member countries of the European Union or a non-EU citizen.
Be registered (together with the rest of the members of your family unit) in the municipality of Tías at least twenty-four (24) months in advance at the time of the call.
Being enrolled during the academic year corresponding to the call in public educational centers and whose studies lead to obtaining an official title, enrollment that must include a minimum period of nine (9) months.
To obtain Study Aid, applicants must be enrolled in the 2022/2023 academic year and have passed a minimum of 30 credits for face-to-face university studies from the previous course, 24 credits for non-face-to-face university studies and 50% of the subjects corresponding to an academic year of the training cycles.
Not be in possession of a university or training cycle degree that is of the same level as the one studied and for which the aid is requested.
Do not exceed the following family income thresholds:
Family of 1 computable member €14,000.00.
Family of 2 computable members €28,000.00.
Family of 3 computable members €42,000.00.
Family of 4 computable members €56,000.00.
Family of 5 computable members €70,000.00.
As of the sixth member, €9,555.14 will be added for each new computable member.
For the calculation of the family income for the purposes of the aid, the computable members of the family are the father and the mother, the tutor or person in charge of the custody and protection of the minor, as the case may be; the applicant, single siblings under the age of twenty-five and living in the family home or the older ones, in the case of people with disabilities, as well as the ascendants of the parents who justify their residence at the same address as the previous ones with the corresponding municipal certificate.
In the case of applicants that constitute independent family units, the spouse or, where appropriate, the person to whom they are linked by a similar relationship are also considered computable members, as well as the children, if any, and who live at the same address. .
In the case of divorce or legal separation of the parents, the one of them who does not live with the applicant for the aid will not be considered a computable member. However, the new spouse or person united by a similar relationship, whose income and assets will be included in the computation of family income and assets, will be considered a computable member and main breadwinner, if applicable.
In the case of an adult in foster care, the provisions of the preceding paragraphs will be applied to the foster family and will be considered as not integrated into the family unit for these purposes.
In the cases in which the applicant alleges his emancipation or family and economic independence, regardless of his marital status, he must reliably prove that he has sufficient economic means to allow said independence, as well as ownership or rent of his habitual residence.
Otherwise, and provided that the accredited income is less than the expenses borne by way of housing and other expenses considered essential, independence will be understood as not proven, therefore, for the calculation of the income and family patrimony for the purposes of the aid, the income corresponding to the computable family members referred to in sections 1 and 2 of this article will be computed.
For the purposes of compliance with the requirements indicated in this call and unless expressly specified in this regard, the date on which the deadline for submitting the application ends will be taken as the reference date.
Endowment
University studies outside the island, will receive the amount of €1,000.00.
University Students on the island and Training Cycles outside the Island, will receive the amount of €650.00.
Non-contact university studies will receive the amount of €400.00.
The amount of the amounts will be increased by 25% in those applicants who are part of a family unit with more than one member studying outside the island and who meet the requirements to be able to access them.
In the case of an adult in foster care, the provisions of the preceding paragraphs will be applied to the foster family and will be considered as not integrated into the family unit for these purposes.

Award Criteria
The following criteria will be taken into account for the granting of aid:
A. The applicant must meet the requirements established in section 4 of this Call.
B. After verifying the documentation presented and taking into account compliance with the detailed requirements, the examining body will assess the following objective criteria:
Social and family situation of the applicant (a. Look at the disabled part).
b. Being affected by special socio-family situations derived from non-compliance with the family obligations of the parents, the family home tenure regime, the expenses of services or socio-sanitary and psychological treatments not covered by Public Health, disease diagnosis of the applicant or main member of the family or death of the main member of the family unit or other misfortune or family situation with a report from social services that the Monitoring Commission can assess.
Academic excellence. The amount of 200.00 euros will be added to the amounts established in section 11 of these bases, for having passed 100% of the subjects or credits (60 credits) of the previous academic year, with a grade greater than or equal to Notable ( 7.00). The maximum number of grants that can be granted for each applicant will be one. In the event of any unforeseen special issue, it is submitted for consideration by the Monitoring Committee.
Compatibility
These Social Emergency Aid for Students living in the Municipality of Tías will be considered compatible with other subsidies and aid from organizations, institutions and natural or legal persons, of a public, semi-public or private nature, regardless of the form they use. for the exercise of the activities that are their own, but the sum of all the aids and subsidies obtained may not, in any case, exceed 100% of the real and effectively executed expense in the exercise of the subsidized activity.
In the event that the combined amount of aid and subsidies exceeds the indicated percentage, the Tías City Council will have the right to be reimbursed for the excess that the beneficiary has been awarded, without prejudice to demanding the responsibilities that may arise in each case. .

The amount of 200.00 euros will be added to the amounts established in section 11 of these bases, for being in one or more of the following cases:
a. Have a recognized degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%, both the applicant and any of their parents or siblings, under the terms provided in article 1 of Law 51/2003, of December 2, on Equal Opportunities, Non-Discrimination and Universal Accessibility for People with Disabilities.
