Eligibility Criteria for University of Waterloo Scholarships
To be eligible for University of Waterloo Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Candidates with good academic standing (usually at least 70% average at undergraduate level; average at least 75% average at graduate level) are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
Applicants must be full-time undergraduate and graduate students in any faculty wishing to participate in the international experience in Israel, including minimally paid or voluntary international co-operative placement, volunteer placement, academic exchange or study. International students who have a valid Canadian study permit are registered full-time and have assessed international tuition fees.
Usually given to students in research-based programs (dissertation or major research dissertation).
Generally, only students who enter the first term of their program (Term 1.0) will be awarded.
Students must demonstrate academic excellence through the standards established by the faculty.
Students must meet the academic development requirements of their program and not have outstanding requirements for probationary admission.
This award may be in addition to other internal or external scholarships (e.g., UW Graduate Scholarship, OGS, etc.). Note: Scholarships are different from sponsorships – see next bullet.
